Rating: 6 / 10 My experience at NR Sweets was definitely clouded by an unspeakable horror that does not reflect on the restaurant itself. As I sat in the corner, pummeled by an overactive fan, sipping my sweet chai and waiting for a delicious masala dosa to strenghten my resolve, a group of Chinese tourists sitting opposite me discover that their little baby had made a deposit. Instead of doing what any REASONABLE human being would and exit to the restroom, the woman decided to disrobe the baby's diaper, spread it's naked bottom on the table and then refresh it with a new poop sack in plain sight of every person just trying to have lunch. Naturally as Murphy's Law continues to amaze, my dosa arrived just as the stench of baby droppings was picked up by the ceiling fan and spread to all and sundry. I mean seriously? Come on! In short, I lost my appetite, and therefore the quality of this dosa can be judged again at a different time when there are no mentally deranged mums around. From what I remember, the dosa was decently crispy if slightly underdone, but the sambar and sides were all rather underwhelming. I had to literally go home and take a shower afterwards to rid my soul of the disgusting display of disrespect shown to everyone in that restaurant. These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
