"New Years Resolution Food" WHERE TO FIND THE BEST BALI BOWLSBali has a tendency to bring out the best in me. Everytime I touch down in the balmy air of Denpasar Airport, I immediately start craving fruit, vegetables and healthy food. I don' tknow what it is about the place, but it never fails. On my last visit I made it a point to try as many Bali Bowl spots for breakfast as possible to truly see if they were all the same. In short, they weren't. Some of them stuck to the formula of making exceptional bowls with care and attention, some were all instagram no substance, and some futher had really gluey, sticky consistencies. Instead of shaming the bad one's, we'd rather exhalt the places that got it right. Starting with our all-time favourite, since we all know people don't have any attention span these days. SMOOTHIE SHOPWith a name like that you better deliver, and deliver they do. This fiercely guarded spot almost feels like you're intruding on a secret society of food addicts. Every time I went there it was packed to the brim. Of all the smoothie bowls I enjoyed in Bali, the Mango Tango at this place was the best ever. Super fresh, crunchy, not too sweet, not too gluey, just perfect to start the day with. KELLY'S WARUNGWith the best view in Bali, you can't really do much better than enjoying a bowl on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Half the fun is parking your scooter up top and snaking your way down through the tiny paths leading to the Warung. OURSOne of the better places overall in Uluwatu for breakfast, OURS also do a good version of a Bali Bowl. Fresh fruit, good texture on the smoothie mix and lots of crunch makes this a surefire way to start your engine. NOURISHThe ever popular Nourish does everything reasonably well, their bowls were not our favourite but were good enough to be included on the list. These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
