There can be no purer quest than the hunt for the perfect bowl of food. Mountains of imposters, valleys of pretenders all stand in your way, but the faithful seeker shall find his reward, if he prevails.  Rating: 7 / 10
Welcomed by a friendly but exceedingly shy owner, we were show a small table peering out at trams and hoodlums. Green & Red curry were ordered under the auspicious photographs of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and stomachs began to rumble.  Rating: 8 / 10
Many of my happiest food discoveries have been in random suburbs that are mostly overlooked by the mass tourist droves. Away from the high rent prices and temptation to pander to fools, honest souls can create their authentic dishes and pray that a small loyal clientele discovers them and spreads the word. |
