"Indian Withdrawals" I can't last a week without dreaming of, or eating, Indian food. It's in my DNA and I don't fight the urge anymore. Accha was recommended by family who lived in Chiang Mai, so I opted to try it on a night off the lemongrass and fish sauce. Having eaten at many of Chiang Mai's Indian restaurants, and generally failed to find a good one, the experience at Accha was positive. I ate there three times over the course of three weeks, and two of them were great, the third time was so-so. I feel it's one of those spots where you have to go the night the good chef is working, otherwise everything looks the same but doesn't have that edge to it. The chicken curry is solid, the dal tarka is good, the naan is a bit doughey but still tasty. Service is good and prices are high, as all Indian food seems to be in Thailand, but once in a while it's worth a splurge. These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
