"Daylight Robbery" Selling Khao Soi this bad in a city famed for the golden bowl is tantamount to sacrilege. Khao Soi Nimman also charges a premium on their bowl, yet underdelivers catastrophically despite being mentioned by the Michelin men. The broth is insipid and thin, tasteless, the noodles boring and the beef average. Nothing in this plate speaks of love or affection, more of an operation to redeem tourist dollars in exchange for a half-assed taste of something famous. Of all the dishes we tried the satay at least resembled what satay should taste like. The pickles were mediocre. So was the sauce. This beef was one of the most diabolical dishes I have been served in my life. In the photos it looked achingly tender and kissed with fire, but what appeared was a dead ladies leg boiled in lukewarm water grey as the day in Hull. I don't like dissing restaurants since everyone is having a hard time these days, but you cannot be allowed to get away with this. Premium prices for diabolical food. No thank you!. These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
