"The BBQ Delight of KL" Enter the dragon. The dragon spews smoke and ash from it's charcoal belly. The street is a fog of chicken scents. I enter the bowels of the beast and find a kindly waiter. He seats me. I peruse the menu and order the green chicken kebab, mutton curry and two tandoori roti. I peer around the room at the sheer gluttony on display. It warms my heart. The cashier assures me my kebab is coming but will take time because it is "cooked fresh". I wait in the corridors of contemplation. I receive a beverage to quell the smoke. When I say smoke, I mean the barbeque coal grill out front can probably be felt in PJ. It is an intense cloud of carnivore blackening to behold. With deft movements my food arrives piping hot and beautiful. Pakistani food is not for dieters. Fat is flavour. Oil is love. I dive in with fingers tearing pieces of roti and scooping curry gravy and pieces of perfectly cooked kebab. I eat until there is no more. My stomach protrudes in awkward directions. I smile, I pay, I leave. Pak Punjab cooks Pakistani food the way I like it cooked. With soul. Unabashedly simple and tasty. Come here if you also enjoy that kind of cooking. These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
