"Grandma Knows"

For a man who doesn't have a sweet-tooth I visited Rotee Pa Day too frequently. There is something about these legendary old ladies standing there dutifully day after day pumping out delicious rotee to lines of tourists and locals that warms your heart.

Rock up, write your name and order on a paper, stab it on the nail and stand and wait. They'll get to you when it's your turn and shout your name when it's ready. You can stand a bit off to the side where there are some chairs and munch on it while it's still piping hot, much to the jealousy of the others waiting.

Having tried a few other Roti in Chiang Mai, these were by far superior. Better texture, flavour, toppings. Definitely worth hunting down and waiting in line to get, but I'd recommend to skip the one's with egg. It just adds a weirdness to a sweet dish that you don't really want.
